Visiting the Cité de Pierres with your dog

by | Feb 18, 2024

The Cité de Pierres and the Millau Grands Causses Tourist Office are committed to encouraging dogs on our site. Visit the Cité de Pierres with all the family including your four-legged friend!

The Cité de Pierres: accessible to all

This is our philosophy. Our site has been designed to be accessible to all, including dogs! Your dog can stay with you regardless of whether you want an effortless site visit on the miniature train, or to stroll along the sign-posted trails, or amuse yourselves with the Explor’Games® tablets.

You will be visiting a listed site and your dog will be able to discover in their own way. They can walk, run, sniff the scents, listen to nature and enjoy sharing this moment with you.

An ideal site to visit with a dog

The Cité de Pierres in Montpellier-le-Vieux is a 120 hectare listed natural site. Its foot paths, shaded forests and rocky mazes are a perfect setting for a walk with your four legged friend. This is a canine’s dream playground as well as being a chance for humans to explore unique majestic landscapes. The site is signposted and secure, there are no dangers for man’s best friend provided they are on a lead.

The purchase of a basic entry ticket provides site access for a full day; entrance is free for dogs. There are six different walking paths with which you can discover the whole of the site and you can picnic on site (picnic areas and tables available).

Tourism with dogs around Millau

Millau is a great place to visit with a dog. To make family holidays easier with a dog, the Tourist Office has committed to mobilising more and more of its partner sites to accept dogs.

To find out which sites, check the “dogs welcome in Millau” hotels, campsites, restaurants and tourist sites web-page.
